Cool Cars Crushing Cancer

STANFORD — Sims Survivors Relay for Life Team will hold a Cool Cars Crushing Cancer Car Show on Saturday, May 11 at First Southern Veteran’s Park (soccer field complex parking lot) in Stanford from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Entry fee is $20. Judging starts at 11:30 a.m. Trophy presentation will be from 2:30 to 3 p.m. There will be door prizes, 50/50 raffle, D.J. Ice Man, concessions by Hill of Beans, face painting, silent auction (open to participants and visitors, bidding ends at 2 p.m.). For more information, contact Mark Williams at (606) 669-1143. All proceeds will go to Lincoln County Relay for Life, American Cancer Society. Rain cancels.

Cardiovascular & Limb Preservation Symposium

On May 11, Ephraim McDowell Health is hosting the Kentucky Cardiovascular & Limb Preservation Symposium at Norton Center for the Arts on the Centre College campus.

The symposium will bring together national level academic speakers and a diverse group of health care providers for an exchange on the cutting edge of management in both cardiac and vascular disease. It will be comprised of a full-day session of speakers with corresponding CME’s and CEU’s for attendees. In addition, there will be an industry sponsored vendor fair with some of the latest technologies available.

Participants will hear from six renowned physicians who are experts in their field. The event is for health care professionals only.  Six CME hours will be provided by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure and six CEU hours will be provided by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.  The registration fee is $50 and includes continental breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks.  For more information or to register, please visitemhealth.org/symposium
