Garrard takes early lead, beats Danville 10-0

The Danville Lady Admirals watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Garrard County on Friday. Garrard County scored on a pair of singles and an error in the first inning.
One bright spot for Danville was a single by Peyton Young in the fourth inning.
Senior Kelsey Perkins earned the win for Garrard County. She allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one.
Young took the loss for Danville. She went four innings, allowing 10 runs on 10 hits, striking out one and walking one.
Young and Ellie Dampier each collected one hit to lead the Admirals. The game was played at Millennium Park Friday evening, after the Thursday matchup at Garrard was rained out.
