Robert Forrest “Bob” Pingleton, 83, of Burgin, died Thursday, May 9, 2019. Born March 3, 1936, he was the son of Opal Kidwell and Arthur Jackson Pingleton. He worked for Whirlpool – Matsushita for 27 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and loved talking with friends and boating.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickey Ann Pingleton; granddaughter, Stephanie Drury; and his sister, Gladys Dailey.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Betty Pingleton; daughters, Penny Patterson, Roxane Kephart, Sandy Lovelace and Beth Drury; siblings, Norma Jean King, Wayne Pingleton, Alice Ray, Freda Palmer, Lois Duncan and Debbie Sparks; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday with Rev. Andy Michaels and Bro. Harold Best at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army and Caswell Saufley American Legion Post #18. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home.
