Boyle County’s Glasscock shuts out George Rogers Clark

Eli Glasscock shut down George Rogers Clark, throwing a complete game shutout and leading the Boyle County Rebels to a 12-0 victory on Thursday

The Rebels secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the sixth inning. The offense in the inning came from singles by Karson Thompson and Jack Briese and home runs by Luke Gaffney and Colin Carver.

Boyle County tallied seven runs in the sixth inning. The rally was led by singles from Thompson and Briese and home runs by Gaffney and Carver.

Glasscock earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for the Boyle County Rebels. He lasted six innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out three.

The Rebels socked two home runs on the day. Gaffney had a dinger in the sixth inning. Carver went yard in the sixth inning.

Boyle County saw the ball well, racking up 16 hits in the game. Connor Samons, Briese, Thompson and Gaffney all managed multiple hits. Samons went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the Rebels in hits. Boyle County didn’t commit a single error in the field. Blake Samons had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
