Looking for Pearl Harbor keepsakes
Published 7:09 pm Monday, June 3, 2019
I am writing a book on Kentuckians at Pearl Harbor and could use some help from folks in your community.
A surprising — to me, anyway — number of soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines on Oahu on Dec, 7, 1941, hailed from the Bluegrass State.
Sadly, almost all of them are gone. But I am looking for letters, diaries, newspaper clippings and photos for my book. I will be happy to pay for copying and scanning.
The 80th anniversary of the “date which will live in infamy” is Dec. 7, 2021. I hope my book will be in print before then.
