The new Second Street bridge is now open. After about a year and a half of planning and several weeks of construction, the bridge and the new concrete pedestrian bridge were officially opened Thursday afternoon following a brief ribbon cutting ceremony which included a few of the residents at Batewood Homes and city and county officials.
