Alberta Lister Triplett, 87, of Danville, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born July 21, 1931 in Danville, Kentucky to the late Sloan and Edna Coffman Lister. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Triplett. Alberta worked for Palm Beach for nearly 30 years and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a faithful member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, where she attended the Ruth Sunday School Class. Alberta loved to cook, can vegetables and gardening. She was a simplistic southern lady, that dearly loved her family.

Surviving is a daughter, Penny Brummett (Mike) of Lancaster, Kentucky; two sons, Larry Cox (Shelia) of Perryville and Robin Cox of Danville; two brothers, Bernard Lister (Thelma Jean) and Mark Lister (Jerri), both of Danville; grandchildren, Deric Smith (Tara), Carmen Smith (Jason), Ashton Cox (Aimee) and Alan Cox; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews and special family members, Linda Lewis, Laverne Klisz, Carol Dailey and Imogene Russell.

Alberta is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Sloan Lister, Jr.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Valentine officiating. Burial in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2019 from 6-9 p.m. at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Deric Smith, Tony Lister, Joe Brummett, Bernard Montgomery, Tim Dievert, Everett Lister and Bobby Denny. Honorary pallbearers will be Christie Carter, Carmen Smith, Joyce Houser, Angie Stagner, Kaleisha Casey, Anne Cortez, Jennifer Hale, and Ruth Sunday School Class at Lexington Avenue Baptist. www.preston-pruitt.com
