Gile Cochran, 73, died Sunday, June 23, 2019. He was born in Liberty on July 27, 1945 to the late Johnny Lawrence and Betty Long Cochran. Gile was a 1963 graduate of Liberty High School and served in the United States Army. He worked at Genesco and retired from the US Postal Service after 34 years. Gile loved fishing and wood working. He was a member of Mt. Freeman Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Hansel Cochran, Dwayne Cochran; two sisters, Hazel Pennington and Jeannette Thomas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Cochran of Danville; two step-daughters, Donna (Chuck) Mann of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Michelle Cox of Lexington, Kentucky; two brothers, Marshall (Evelyn) Cochran of Casey County, Kentucky, Travis (Linda) Cochran of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Nannette Carman of Bethel Ridge, Kentucky and Wraylene Patricia (Ray Lee) Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The graveside service will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion of Marion County.
