Pastor’s anniversary
Sunday, July 7, the congregation of First Baptist Church Perryville will celebrate the third pastoral anniversary of Rev. Jeffrey H. Yocum. The morning speaker is Rev. Raphael Johnson, Copper Run Baptist Church. Dr. Roderick Jones, FBC Elizabethtown, is speaker for the 3:30 p.m. afternoon service. The church is located at 310 W. First Street.
Mt. Moriah Christain Church to hold VBS
Mt. Moriah Christian Church will hold Vacation Bible School, Sunday through Thursday, July 7-11 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. each night. The theme is “In the Wild.”
Kidz Blitz Live
Danville First Church of God will be hosting Kidz Blitz Live on Saturday, July 20 at 6 p.m. This will be a super-fun event for the kids and we want to invite the community to attend. Pleasant Valley to hold VBS
Vacation Bible School, “Just Say No!’ will be held Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1597 Boones Creek Road, Lancaster. There will be adult and children classes. Please bring a change of clothing because we will have water inflatables. Everyone is invited. Joseph Shea Brown, pastor.
Hackworth called as pastor
Perryville Baptist Church has called Aaron Hackworth as its pastor. Hackworth was serving the church as interim pastor and will preach his first official sermon on Sunday, July 14.
Hackworth and his wife, Tammy, have four children. He has been working as a Church Planter for the Central Kentucky Baptist Network (formerly Elkhorn Baptist Association).
