Victor Gilbert Delaney II, age 69, Perryville Road, in Danville, Kentucky, was called to his eternal rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at The University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington Kentucky.

He was born in Boyle County, to the late Victor Gilbert Delaney, Sr. and Mabel Annette Snodgrass. He was a graduate of Boyle County High School. He also graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science degree. He married his devoted wife, Charletta Ann Clark, on February 14, 1981. To this union, two sons, Dustin Wayne (Alysa) and Colby Dale (Heather) were born. He worked as a train conductor for Norfolk Southern for 35 years where he earned many safety awards. Victor was known for his love of working on old vehicles and sandblasting. Most of all, he was known for his love of God and his family.

Victor was a devoted member of Christ The Head Missionary Church, where he served as deacon and trustee. He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy a devoted wife, two sons, four grandchildren, one step-grandchild, four siblings, three sister in-laws, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday July 8, 2019 at First Christian Church and again after 9am on Tuesday at the same location. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at the First Christian Church on Lexington Avenue. Burial services will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Duncan Hill.
