Children born in 2008 through 2015 are eligible to participate. Practices start in mid-August, and the season runs through mid to late October.

The U10 and U12 age groups play games primarily at Millennium Park, as well as a few in surrounding counties.

New this fall for the U6 and U8 age groups, BYSA is partnering with the Centre College women’s soccer team to provide academy style training at Centre on Monday evenings. This setup will allow for more coaching and better player development. For the practice sessions at Centre, the kids will train at stations led by Centre players and coaches, as well as play some small-sided games. The regular games will be at Millennium Park on Saturday mornings.

Also, BYSA needs volunteer parent coaches for the upcoming season. For the U6 and U8 age groups, this role will assist the Centre women’s team at the Monday sessions and helping manage the games on Saturdays. As a thank you for volunteering, head coaches at any age group get the equivalent of one child’s league fees reimbursed to them at the conclusion of the season.

The U6/U8 leagues use a size three ball, while U10/U12 use a size four.
