Summer flowers are in full bloom around town, and if you stop to take a closer look, you can see all sorts of butterflies and bees soaking up the nectar and fluttering around.

- A black, female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly spreads her wings has her yellow Eastern Tiger Swallowtail mate rests on a concrete planter beneath her. The butterflies are native to Kentucky and their favorite nectar sources are lilac, Joe-Pye weed, phlox and milkweed. caterpillars feed on wild cherry, sweet bay magnolia, tulip, birch and willow trees.
