DBCHS Pets of the Week, September 4

Published 7:07 pm Tuesday, September 3, 2019

Our featured pets for this week are Joey and Gertrude.

Joey is a precious 5-month-old tabby and white kitten. He and his brother, Elmo, were strays that were brought to the humane society so they could find forever homes. Joey has cute face markings and a sweet disposition. He is playful, but not over demanding and is content to keep himself occupied with simple kitty toys. If you’re looking for a “teenager” kitten that will grow into a handsome fellow, come and visit with Joey. And if you want to double your fun, consider adopting Joey and his side-kick brother, Elmo, together.

               Gertrude

Gertrude is a gorgeous 1-year-old tri-colored hound. This girl is knock-out pretty, with big brown eyes and perfect markings. Gertrude was surrendered because her previous owner’s other dog did not accept Gertrude into the home. She has been fine with other dogs here at the humane society. Gertrude is submissive and shy with new people. Once she spends a little time getting to know you, she loves petting and attention. Gertrude would do best in a quieter home with an owner who has the time and patience to build her confidence. Are you the one to help this sweet girl reach her full potential?
