Danville man dead after one-vehicle wreck

A man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on the Danville bypass early Sunday morning.
Adam V. York, 37, of Danville, was killed when he lost control of the truck he was driving on the south Danville bypass near the Stuart Powell Ford dealership, heading north.
Danville Police were called to the one-vehicle accident at 12:14 a.m. on Sunday, where they found York had been ejected from his 2003 GMC truck after he had lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center median into the southbound lanes and rolled over several times. The vehicle came to rest on an embankment just off the shoulder of the road. There were no passengers in York’s vehicle.
York was treated at the scene by emergency crews and was transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical, where he was pronounced dead due to blunt force trauma according to Coroner Dr. Don Hamner.
Officers Hobie Daughtery and Brandon Record are the investigation officers.
