Friends of Library host ‘Travel Talking’
Gayle Waddell will present Travel Talking: Australia and New Zealand 4 p.m. Tuesday at Boyle County Public Library. Waddell will share photos and talk about the differences and similarities of these two countries. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Danville City Commission — 5:30 p.m. Monday at city hall. Agenda includes: Kiwanis banner request for chili cook-off; proclamations for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Fire Prevention Safety Month; amendments to the Planning & Zoning ordinance presentation by Director Steve Hunter; staff recommendation on Parks & Recreation, by City Manager Ron Scott; improvements to Weisiger Park, with Monica Sumner from Brandstetter Carroll; and an engineering report by City Engineer John Cassel.

Agenda includes: Approval of bills; make budget and cash transfers; Senior Citizens: Ben Guerrant; Community Arts Center: Niki Kinkade; Consider Planning & Zoning Ordinance-Phase II; Permission to Bid Dump Truck; KACo Insurance Grant: Angela Muncy; Consider Compensatory Agreements; Treasurer’s Settlement.
