Thomas Gentry “Tom” Moser, age 79, of Herndon Avenue in Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.

Born Thursday, October 17, 1940 in Stanford, he was the son of the late William Gentry & Alma Hartman Moser. His loving wife is Alma Joan Kissick Moser of Stanford. In 2004, Tom retired as Captain, after 22 years of service at the Department of Corrections Center (Northpoint Training Center) in Danville. Tom also previously was a realtor for Lincoln Realty, ERA Team Realtors, and Bluegrass Realtors. Tom was a member of Stanford Presbyterian Church and loved to fish in his spare time.

In addition to his wife, Tom leaves behind two sons, James Edward Moser and Christopher G. Moser both of Stanford; two grandchildren, Latisha Lynn Salyers of Stanford and Christen N. Moser of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; two great-grandchildren, Shelton Gentry Cook of Stanford and Payslee Desarai Dawn Moser of Crab Orchard; and one nephew Rusty Cox (Tina) of Danville. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Robert “Robbie” Moser; one sister, Edith Moser Cox; and one nephew, Rodger Cox.

Cremation Rites have been honored. A Public Memorial Service will be held 7:00PM Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Powers officiating the service. Dick & Dorothy Hill Faulkner, Pat Rice, Lonnie Matlock, Kathy Gifford, Steve Cook, and Dan Barnett will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The Visitation will be held 5-7PM Thursday at the funeral home. Private Burial will take place in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
