Wreck diverts U.S. 127 traffic for an hour Wednesday
A two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on U.S 127 North caused traffic to be diverted through Lannock Place for more than an hour.
According to Danville Police, at 7:15 a.m., Laura Kintz, 71, of Danville was driving a 2015 Ford Explorer and had stopped at the stop sign on Lannock Place.
Witnesses told police Kintz pulled out onto the bypass in front of Zachary Record, 36, of Danville who was driving a 2019 Jeep Wrangler who was traveling north on the bypass.
According to police, “the collision caused both vehicles to spin, leaving the Jeep facing south in the center median and the Explorer facing east on the highway.”
Kintz was treated on the scene and was taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. The extent of her injuries were not known.
Record was also treated at the scene and declined to be taken to the hospital.
