Pets of the Week
Our featured pets for this week are Shadow and Bruno.
Shadow is a very handsome orange tabby with lots of white markings. He’s about 1 ½ years old and was brought to the humane society as a stray back in October. Shadow has been a very friendly fellow since day one. He is very adaptable to change, and he loves everyone and gets along fine with other cats. This gorgeous boy has been without a permanent home for way too long. If you are looking for a loving cat that will follow you around like a puppy and be your very best friend, then come for a visit with Shadow.
Bruno is a sweet 3-year-old Boxer and pit bull mix. He is brown and white and weighs about 50 pounds with a compact body type. Bruno is a fun dog with a wonderful personality. He is always happy to have attention and will greet you with a wagging tail. Bruno does very well in our dog play groups where he interacts and gets along great with a variety of doggie personalities. Bruno is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is ready to make some lucky person a faithful companion.
Mark your calendars to join the DBCHS on Friday March 6 from 6-9 p.m. at Wilderness Trail Distillery on Lebanon Road for our Fur Ball fundraiser event. Admission is free and music will be provided by Fourth Street Station, one of central Kentucky’s most exciting jam bands! There will be food available for purchase from Smokey & The Brisket and Wilderness Trail Distillery cocktails for sale. This will be a fun evening and dress is casual, so come and join us as we toast to our furry friends and celebrate as we share recent successes all made possible by our supportive pet loving community.
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
