1963-2020

Dean R. Coffman, 56, of Stanford, KY previously of Edinburgh, IN went home to be with the Lord on February 23, 2020. Born on May 21, 1963 to the late Ruth Ann and Kenneth Coffman. Survived by his wife, Sheila R. Coffey Coffman of Stanford, KY; two children, Erin Coffman Mansier (Julien) of Raleigh, NC and Anthony R. Coffman of Florida; two brothers, Charles “Don” Coffman (Samran) of Ormond Beach, FL and David “Dave” Coffman of Shelbyville, IN; father and mother-in-law, Romer and Geraldine Coffey; and other friends and family members.

He was a dedicated employee of Bob Allen Motor Mall with 14 years of service. He was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church where he was a trustee. He was a dedicated servant of the lord. He was a previous member of the Edinburgh Masonic Lodge #100 for approximately 20 years. He loved spending time with his family and friends and loved reading his Bible. There was nothing he enjoyed more than making people laugh and a good piece of fried chicken.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Ann and Kenneth Coffman.

A one-day service has been scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Darren Blair, Bro. Curtis Brock and Bro. Junior Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY.

Pallbearers are Chad Coffey, Shane Coffey, Keith Hughes, John Welsh, Alan Shearer, Tony Wesley and Bennie Duck.

Honorary Pallbearers are Al Hough and Ken Crigger.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to, The Hope Center in Lexington, KY or The American Stroke Association.
