As a retired Danville school teacher, I am very disappointed that the Danville School Board is considering discontinuing support for the Wilderness Trace Child Development Center. Wilderness Trace is a great option for many children, including children with special needs.

I’ve visited the center through the years and am impressed with the activities, the clean, bright colored classrooms and the welcoming staff. Most of all, however, I have seen the expanded skills and the social growth the center has provided for the children.

I am very hopeful the Danville Board will consider this decision and continue to support Wilderness Trace.
