Arts Commission postpones Youth Arts Festival 

The Arts Commission of Danville-Boyle County will postpone the Youth Arts Festival, previously planned for March 24. This decision was made after numerous conversations over several days with the Boyle County Health Department.

The Arts Commission will replan the event at some time in the future, and in consultation with all its participating schools, programs and community partners.

Art Center cancels Lunch with the Arts

Art Center of the Bluegrass has canceled its Lunch with the Arts program, previously scheduled for Wednesday, March 18. 

 

Rotary International Dinner postponed 

Being mindful of the Health Department directives concerning the health and safety of the community, the Rotary Club of Danville has postponed the International Dinner scheduled for March 21.

Retired teachers cancel meeting

The Boyle County Retired Teachers organization has canceled its March 16 meeting due to  the state KRTA’s recommendation that all local and district meetings be canceled.

Caring Friends Hope & Help meeting cancelled

Caring Friends Hope & Help meeting that was scheduled for Sunday March 15 at Perryville Baptist Church has been cancelled. Please call the South District Baptist office if you have any questions, (859) 236-7623.

Boyle Library cancellations 

Effective Friday, March 13, all programs and meeting room reservations scheduled for March 13-April 3, 2020 at the Boyle County Public Library are cancelled.

 As of today (Friday, March 13) the library will remain open during its regular business hours. To make things easier for patrons, the library is  implementing some temporary policy changes.

Circulation periods will be increased during this time. DVDs will now have a 14-day checkout period. All other media (books, magazines, etc.) will now have a 28-day checkout period. In addition, no overdue fines will accrue beginning March 13 through the end of April.
