The City of Danville has called a special emergency meeting of the city commission for 9 a.m. Tuesday morning in the public meeting room of city hall. The agenda includes: Emergency Ordinance No. 1949: Designation of city manager to exercise emergency powers, with action needed; a municipal order establishing authority of city manager, with action needed; Resolution No. 2020-03-17-01: Declaration of state of emergency, with action needed; and the second reading of the insurance premiums tax increase ordinance, also with action needed.

City Manager David Milliron said Tuesday’s emergency meeting will be open to the public as per usual. “Though future meetings will be online once the declaration is in place, until further notice.”
