NEWS RELEASE

DANVILLE, Ky. – Contractors for the city of Danville ruptured a water main during construction along the Highway 127 bypass on Wednesday afternoon. The immediate area affected is from the Highway 127 bypass to the Wilderness Trail Distillery – including Lebanon Road, Minor Drive, Davco Drive, and Corporate Drive.
In order to protect the public from a potential health hazard, all customers in these areas that have experienced water outages and/or low water pressure are advised to boil all water prior to use for drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food. The water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil.
The boil water advisory is in effect for all Danville water customers in the immediate area of the water main break until further notice. No Danville customer south of Lebanon Road or north of Ingleside Drive on the Hwy 127 bypass are affected by the advisory.
The Parksville Water District is also under a boil water advisory until further notice.
Customers should continue to boil water until they are notified by the Danville water utility that the water system has been restored to full operation, and that the microbiological quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption.
