Danville City Hall was without power for about three hours on Friday. During that time Danville 911 had to reroute 911 lines to Harrodsburg.

The Danville 911 dispatch center had three employees come in at a moment’s notice. Two employees went to Harrodsburg and answered the 911 calls and three employees monitored and recorded times and comments by pen and paper in the dark at city hall for about three hours on Friday.

These individuals went above and beyond to ensure the citizens of Boyle County never knew there was an issue and continued to get the best response.

Thanks to Harrodsburg 911 for hosting us and Director Hafley and staff of the Danville 911 center for going above and beyond today and every day. Great big thanks to the Danville I.T. Department for their assistance in the transition. Job well done by all.
