Comics coming to daily email newsletter

The coronavirus has brought some changes to The Advocate-Messenger recently, and we are doing our best to keep things as normal as possible for our readers.
You’ve certainly noticed the change in print frequency. We now publish a print edition on Tuesday and Friday each week, with Friday being our weekend edition. Although the print product is daily, our website is being updated each day and throughout the day as new stories are written, new obituaries are submitted and any other news is available to publish.
Many of you have signed up for our email newsletter, which is sent out each day with headlines of stories from around the county. Those newsletter are not only entertaining, but also informational as they bring you breaking news at times when emergencies arise, including issues such as boil water advisories and other information you need to know in a hurry.
Shortly after changing our print frequency, we added the puzzles and games, including sudoku, the word search and crossword puzzles to our daily email newsletter. Now, we are bringing another feature to that service, and it will include comics. As of today’s issue, you will find your favorite comics along with the puzzles and games when you click on the blue bar at the bottom of the newsletter. This will allow you to download these entertaining features and print them out at home to enjoy any time you would like.
The newsletters will be sent out each day, however, since we never published a Sunday issue of our paper, we will not have comics or puzzles with the Sunday newsletter.
This is just another way we are trying to serve our readers. We appreciate you reading The Advocate-Messenger, and we look forward to continuing to serve you.
