To help ease the influx of materials, the outdoor book drop will initially be open once a week on Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. when it will be relocked until the following week. All returned materials will be quarantined for 72-hours and will be handled according to CDC guidelines before being checked in.

Patrons with library materials are welcome to return items to the book drop when it is open on Thursdays. No overdue fines are being assessed on any materials, so patrons need not worry if they are currently unable to return borrowed items.

As long as the building remains closed to the public no fines will accrue. The reopening of the book drop on a limited basis is the first of many steps in the library’s re-opening process.
