Millie

Our featured pet for this week is Millie, a 2-year old hound mix. She’s a pretty tri-color and weighs 45 pounds. Millie was a stray and her owner was not found so she is now looking for a fresh start with a new family.

Millie is a very friendly girl. She loves everyone, both adults and young people. She has an exuberant personality and enjoys time in the exercise yard, but once playtime is over Millie is ready to settle down and snuggle on a soft bed and blanket.

Millie needs a home with a fenced yard and will require supervision outside. Like many scent hounds, she will follow her nose and try to head off on her own explorations. Besides backyard play, Millie would love to go on long walks or jogs with her new family members. This sweet girl has a lot of love to bring to her forever home.

Millie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. If Millie sounds like your perfect canine companion, then come for a visit and let her win your heart!

The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society is currently open to the public weekday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. To help practice social distancing we ask that only those who are seriously considering adoption visit the animals and we are limiting visitors to two at a time inside the building. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
