My brother wrote in this paper claiming that Black Lives Matter was a marxist/socialist plot and America doesn’t need to change. I think he’s out of step with where we are and where we need to go.

I marched last week in a Black Lives Matter protest in Danville and it was a soul-stirring alignment of voices, attended by our police chief and our mayor (who I don’t believe is a Marxist), and so many diverse unified folks calling out for America to do better.

I’m sure there are anecdotes to be searched for and found that can be weaponized to discredit the vast majority of protestors who are peaceful and driven by their better angels. America can do better.
