Terri Whitis Stewart

1954-2020

Terri Whitis Stewart, 66, went to be with the Lord June 24th at her home in Science Hill, KY. 

Terri will be remembered as one of the kindest, most sincere people they have known. Terri found joy in singing in a gospel quartet and playing piano at Bible Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. She also taught piano to many children. Terri was employed with Dr. Karen Saylor, who was her employer and friend. 

She was blessed by loving parents, the late Ralph and Jeraldine Whitis of Hustonville. She was also preceded in death by her good friend, Lisa Renner of Mt. Vernon. 

She is survived by Kevin Stewart, her husband of 16 years; her children, Cassie Sowder and Craig Sowder; her stepdaughters, Natalie (JT) Henderson and Gretchen Stewart; and her grandchildren, Tedi, Chernet, and Joseph Henderson, and Harper Travis. She is also survived by brothers, Barry (Susan) Whitis and Gary (Cindy) Whitis. Visitation will be Friday, 6-9pm and the funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 11am at W.L.
