John M. Phillips

1926-2020

John M. Phillips, 94, of Stanford, KY passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Stanford Care and Rehabilitation. Born on March 19, 1926 in Stanford, KY to the late John Phillips and Addie Lasure Phillips. He was a lifelong cattle and tobacco farmer, he loved working tobacco. In his younger years John enjoyed horseback riding and coon hunting.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Rogers and Jimmy Phillips; two daughters, Norma Rogers and Phyllis Clements; three grandchildren, Boyd Coleman (Farrah), James Coleman (Jennifer) and Jeremy Coleman (Keisha); seven grandchildren, Chasity Coleman, Jansten Coleman, Jayden Coleman, Weslee Coleman, Will Coleman, Kaylee Coleman and Colton Coleman; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Phillips and Addie Lasure Phillips; and a grandson, Otis Coleman.

A graveside service has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, KY with Bro. Johnny Walls officiating.

Pallbearers are Boyd Coleman, James Coleman, Jeremy Coleman, Jansten Coleman, Jayden Coleman and Garland Coleman. Honorary Pallbearers are Tob Long, Buddy Pence and the Staff of Stanford Care and Rehabilitation.
