A Danville resident has reported a phone scam that showed up on caller ID as being from “Local Advocate-Messenger.”

The caller left a message stating they were offering her a “new” Medicare Plan but she would not be eligible for it unless they were able to talk to her directly. 

However, Medicare does not contact residents by phone calls and Danville’s Advocate-Messenger is not associated with Medicare in any way.
