Rose Mae Yentsch Floyd, 78, of Danville, KY went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 28, 2020. She was born October 3, 1941 in Waynesburg, KY to the late Ruth Ann Horn and William Gus Yentsch. Rose was a homemaker and, along with her late husband’s family, owned and operated Floyd’s Cycles, Inc. She was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church in Danville. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Randall Floyd.
Rose is survived by two sons, Dennis (Patricia) Floyd of Fort Collins, Colorado and Scott (Cristal) Floyd of Danville; 2 sisters, Wanda Gourley of Halls Gap and Juanita Sims of Kings Mountain; 8 grandchildren: Chelsea (Andrew) Starnes, Hannah Floyd, Emily Floyd, Eli Floyd, Evin Floyd, Katie Floyd, Noah Floyd, and Micah Floyd; and 1 great-grandson, Hudson Starnes.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Willow Grove Baptist Church in Danville. Rev. Johnny Thompson and Rev. Brad King will be officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. Rose’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday 5-8 p.m. at Willow Grove Baptist Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Heritage Hospice, Inc.
