Take a hike! Local trails are a great way to enjoy the change of seasons

You don’t have to travel for miles out into the countryside to enjoy a short hike and experience the change of seasons. The Woven Wire Mountain Bike Park and Urban Hiking Trail is a rustic 1.5-mile loop that meanders down through canopies of trees, past sheer rock walls and next to a babbling creek.

It’s located on Enterprise Drive near Heritage Hospice and Dana Corporation. To reach the park, turn onto Enterprise Drive, off of Lebanon Road and head to where it T’s. Turn left on Techwood Drive and park in the cul-de-sac. The trail is located just below the tree line. Or, you can park at Heritage Hospice or on Enterprise Drive, facing Lebanon Road, and the trail begins in the trees on the right side.

Directional signs haven’t been placed yet, but a mowed path will lead you to the trail.

While hiking and looking at how the trees are changing colors, don’t forget to look down and see the last of the fall wildflowers that are still in bloom.
