Judith Carole Preston Mullins, 80, of Louisville died Friday, December 18, 2020 following a long illness. Born September 26, 1940 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Wanda Opal Freeman Preston. Judy attended the Danville schools and was a member of First Baptist Church, Danville. She loved children and her life’s work was caring for them. She was self-employed prior to joining Picadilly and St. Albans Day Cares. Judy also worked part-time in the deli at Pic-Pac for 25 years.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and John Wachter of Taylorsville; three grandchildren, Justin (Amanda Wyatt) Wachter of Louisville, Jessica (Edward) Shaw of Taylorsville and Tony Wachter of Louisville; her sister and brothers, Linda Rogers, Charles T. Preston Jr. and Jim Preston and three grandchildren, Cole Metcalf, Lucas Wachter and Elaine Shaw.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville with visitation prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rev. Kevin Cummins will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers are Aaron Rogers, Mickey Preston, Scott Preston, Matthew Preston, Brandon Preston, Justin Wachter, Tony Wachter and Ed Shaw.
