In light of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic currently affecting our community, in addition to Gov. Andy Beshear’s Executive Order 2020-968, the city of Danville recognizes the increased burden being placed on restaurants, bars and gyms. The city of Danville would like to pledge additional support through its Danville CARES Small Business Relief Program, which will offer grants up to $5,000 for qualified businesses.
Restaurants, bars and gyms impacted by the governor’s executive order are encouraged to apply. Restaurants must not be a franchise or franchise-affiliated, and gyms must be locally owned and operated. An application for funds must be completed and will be accepted Feb. 1 through Feb. 26. The application can be downloaded from the city’s website: www.danvilleky.gov. Any questions should be addressed to Bridgette Lester, blester@danvilleky.gov, 859-936-6840, or Earl Coffey, city manager, 859-238-1200.
