County roads still patchy, power outages persist

City streets have responded well to treatment Thursday, but please stay cautious of refreezing as temperatures drop overnight. Per the county engineer, Duane Campbell, county roads continue to be treated, with some areas responding well while others remain iced over.

Treatment on roads and low-hanging limbs will continue Friday and throughout the weekend as more precipitation is anticipated.

Public services has removed several downed tree limbs from roadways Thursday. Please be aware of your surroundings for low-hanging limbs and limbs in roadways, as more may fall due to below freezing temperatures. If you have a non-emergency issue related to roadways, please contact the non-emergency dispatch number at 859-238-1220.

As of 4 p.m. Thursday, Kentucky Utilities reported six outages involving approximately 20 customers in Boyle County. Included in that total are three outages in Danville involving approximately five customers. Inter-County is reporting outages affecting 657 customers in Boyle County.
