Police respond to reports of drive-by shooting

On Friday, Feb. 12 at 9:30 p.m., the Danville Police Department responded to the area of Baughman Avenue and Alexander Drive for reports of a drive-by shooting. The victim was working in a barn when he observed a dark colored passenger car on Baughman Avenue. The front passenger of the vehicle fired three pistol rounds in the direction of the victim. The vehicle fled the area at a high rate of speed, traveling west on Baughman Avenue toward Hustonville Road. There were no injuries or reported property damage. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Danville Police Department at 859-238-1220. Police are also asking that if anyone has any home surveillance footage that may have recorded any part of the incident or the fleeing vehicle to also contact police.
