Janice Sue Tate Roller, 69, of Shepherdsville, passed away February 15, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born November 13, 1951 in Danville, Kentucky to the late John Briscoe and Alma Raley Tate. She is survived by her husband, Archie Darrell Roller of 51 years. She loved to quilt, paint rocks, and loved taking care of her family. Janice and Archie were foster parents to over 50 children over the years. She liked visiting the Smokey Mountains and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. Surviving is her husband, Archie; a son, Nicholas Chad Roller; sister in laws, Gladys A. Tate of Stanford and Mary Margaret Adams of Lebanon Junction; brother in law, Danny Roller (Goldie) of Elizabethtown; nephews, Allen James Tate and Jeffery Tate ; nieces, Cathy Roush, Rebecca Harvey and Diane Webb; great nephews, Hayden, Jared, Austin and Larson; great niece, Alyssa and special friends, Carla Johnson, James Lynch, Pat and Don, Bobby and Debbie, and many others that are failed to mention. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, James Thomas Tate, Larry Tate, Sr., and Michael Lynn Tate. Funeral services will be 1PM Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Elder Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2021 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
