Reader says city was responsive to needs during ice storm

The day following the ice storm our cul de sac, which sits at one end of Silverbrook Drive, was covered in thick ice and snow. Eventually, a snow plow arrived in the neighborhood and plowed the street (Streamland Drive) that ran perpendicular to the entrance to our cul-de-sac. It did not, however, plow our cul-de-sac. In fact, plowing Streamland Drive left a large ice and snow berm across the entrance to our cul-de-sac. To get to town and back I had to speed over the berm, which struck the bottom of the car quite hard.
Early the next morning I phoned the city manager’s office and reported the oversight. Within a mere half an hour a plow arrived at our house. It removed the berm, cleared a path to our driveway, partially cleared the cul-de-sac, and then laid down a heavy layer of rock salt. That’s service! I wish to thank our city manager and the road crew for being so responsive.
