Boyle County Sheriff Office makes arrests
Couple arrested on drug charges
Max Brian Joseph, 42, of Crab Orchard, and Jamie Fleming, of Danville were arrested Sunday and face drug charges after fleeing from officers.
According to the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office, two deputies attempted to stop a black Mustang on Shannon Avenue. Officers were able to block the car after it had turned into the Holiday Inn parking lot.
Officers found methamphetamine, marijuana scales, distribution bags and cash.
Joseph was charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, meth second offense; second-degree trafficking in marijuana, second offense; possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, second-degree fleeing or evading police, failure to use proper signal and no illuminated rear license plate and was taken to the Boyle County Detention Center. As of Monday afternoon, Joseph was being held on a $12,000 cash bond.
Fleming was charged with trafficking meth and marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. As of Monday afternoon, she was no longer listed as an inmate at the jail.
Woman arrested for assault
Two deputies responded to a residence on Crestview Drive in reference to a female who was damaging property. Upon arrival, officers were told that Farryn Horn, 20, had assaulted one family member and attempted to strike another family member with a shard of a broken ceramic plate.
When officers placed Horn under arrest she resisted by kicking and attempting to bite one of the officers. She was taken to the BCDC and charged with fourth-degree domestic assault; third-degree assault of an officer; second-degree attempted assault; public intoxication with a controlled substance, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief. As of Monday afternoon, Horn was being held on a $10,000 cash bond.
Note: Horn’s black eye did not occur during the encounter with the deputies.
