The Boyle Co Health Department is aware that the FDA and the CDC are recommending the U.S. pause on using the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine after reports of blood clots in individuals who received the vaccine. In a statement issued by the health department, it was stated, “Out of an abundance of caution, we’ve canceled the appointments on Thursday, April 15 and will reschedule after the pause is lifted. Heart of Ky United Way will contact those scheduled with more information.”
