Elsie Allene Dever

1926 – 2021

Elsie Allene Dever, age 94 of Gravel Switch, passed away Wednesday April 07, 2021 at her residence. She was born September 12, 1926 in Casey County to the late Coleman and Ruth Miller. She had a passion for cooking, and was an outstanding seamstress.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dever; son, Larry Dever;parents Coleman and Ruth Miller; brothers, Cecil and Carl Miller; and sisters Lucille Hamilton and Kathryn Ferrell.

She is survived by her son Donnie Dever; daughter, Ruth Ann Elliott; grandchildren, Daniel Elliott, and Coleman and Clint Dever; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday April 11, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Clellan Hays and Rev. Dr. Robert Barr. Interment will follow in Ryder Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. on Saturday April 10, 2021 at Bosley Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Donnie Dever, Daniel Elliott, Coleman Dever, Clint Dever, Frank Miller, Todd Lanham.
