Charles Richard “Dick” Brock, 84, widower of Patty Furr Brock, died Saturday, May 15, 2021. Born June 24, 1936 in Danville, Kentucky to the late Charles Houston and Nellie Boring Brock. He graduated from Danville High School and served in the US Naval Reserve. Dick was employed by Kroger for over 40 years. He was a 53-year member of the Versailles Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. Dick was inducted into the Woodford County Schools Hall of Fame and was very active with Habitat for Humanity and the Woodford Food Pantry. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Barbara Christensen, and brothers, Bill Brock, and Jack Brock. Dick is survived by his children, Susan (Eric) Tippett, Midway, Barry (Paula) Brock, Georgetown, brother, Tim (Rita) Brock, Berea, grandchildren, Sean (Katelyn) Tippett, Crestwood, Clark Tippett, Indianapolis, Carlie Tippett, Midway, Beth (Danny) Shepherd, Georgetown, Danny (Missy) Lay, Georgetown, David (Kristen) Lay, Georgetown, Bradley (Kayla) Lay, Mt. Sterling, Steffani (Billy) Forbis, Floyds Knob, IN, special niece, Becky (Gary) Kinser, Columbus, OH, sister-in-law, Gail Louis, Danville, and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19, 5-8pm. Funeral Services 11am, Thursday, May 20 at Versailles Baptist Church. Interment will follow at 2pm at Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Kinser, Eric Tippett, Sean Tippett, Clark Tippett, Ron Peters, and Charlie Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Tippett, John Dale, and the Deacons from Versailles Baptist Church.
