Paul McWhorter, Jr.

1949 – 2021

Paul McWhorter, Jr., 71, died May 21, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born September 14, 1949 in Danville, Kentucky, son of the late Paul and Marie Hillard McWhorter, Sr. Paul was a lifelong member of First Christian Church. He graduated from Danville High School in 1968 and later obtained an Associate’s Degree from Eastern Kentucky University. Paul served in the Naval Reserve for four years. He had a love of trains and Alabama “Roll tides” and Kentucky Football. He enjoyed playing golf and working in his yard. Paul had a wonderful sense of humor. His granddaughters would call him their “cheese”.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Elizabeth “Libby” McWhorter; a daughter, Leslie (Keith Jackson) McWhorter of Frankfort; a son, Todd (Rhonda) McWhorter of Danville; and two grandchildren, Hannah and Madeline McWhorter.

A private family Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021. Rev. Joey Pusateri will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville.
