Just about three months after returning to in-person learning at Danville High School, the senior class of 2021 bid farewell to their high school days during a traditional commencement Friday evening at the football stadium. The only signs of the COVID-19 pandemic were face masks that were worn by students and some spectators.
The DHS band played Pomp and Circumstance as the 140 seniors, along with school board members and other school officials, promenaded along the track in front of the bleachers full of family and friends who cheered them on.
