CITY OF DANVILLE
News release
A boil water advisory has been issued for 4952 Perryville Road to 4363 Perryville Road, according to a City of Danville Facebook post from 1:47 p.m. yesterday. This advisory is still in effect.
This advisory comes after a water main break between Danville and Perryville happened yesterday during a construction project.
Although no contamination has been confirmed, the city recommends: Bring all water to a rolling boil, let it boil for three minutes, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water.
Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
