Sammy Fox Marlowe, 77, of Danville passed away on Wednesday, June 9th. Born October 19, 1943, he was the son of the late Sam and Edith Fox Marlowe. Sammy owned and operated Marlowe Excavating, Inc. and was an Army National Guard veteran. Sammy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Louise McGhee Marlowe; one son, Matthew Cameron Marlowe (Kandi) of Tampa, FL; one daughter, Melissa Anne Marlowe (Reid Talley) of Danville; six grandchildren: Ashley MacDonell (Peter) of Woodstock, GA; Nicholas Campbell of Louisville; Cameron and Connor Marlowe of Tampa, FL; Meg Talley of Seattle, WA; and Will Talley of Louisville; a great-grandson, William MacDonell; and a sister, Barbara Marlowe Rush, of Hamilton, OH along with her family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 1st at 4 p.m. at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.
