Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital (EMFLH) is pleased to recognize and honor one of its nurses for her extraordinary patient care. Kelsi Edgington, RN, a nurse in the Obstetrics unit at EMFLH, was one of many nurses nominated for the DAISY Award. A resident of Boyle County, Kelsi has been caring for patients at EMFLH for six years.
She was nominated by several patients. One of the patients said, “After a long night of intense labor, Kelsi was more than a nurse to me. She became a friend during the scariest moment of my life. From holding my hand during my epidural, to being my support when I had to have a C-section, she treated me as if she had known me for her whole life. I will never forget what she did for me and my daughter. She is an exceptional person and deserves so much credit.”
Ephraim McDowell is proud to recognize nurses with the DAISY Award, a national program that honors the compassionate care and clinical excellence that nurses bring to their patients every day. Nomination forms for the DAISY Award are available at various locations throughout Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell James B. Haggin Hospital and other Ephraim McDowell facilities.
