Barbara Ellen Rousey Goode, 76, of Hustonville passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Born March 29, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Lelia Bessie Wilcher Rousey. Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a farmer’s wife who worked in various sewing factories while raising four children. She was a caregiver for many years who loved her job and the people she cared for. Barbara never met a stranger. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. Barbara was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Howard Goode; brothers, Jessie Rousey and James Frank Rousey; and half-sisters and half-brothers: Pinia Bartle, Mable Minor, Lewis Buster Rousey, Howard Rousey, and Lowell Rousey. She is survived by her son, Donald Howard (Melissa) Goode of Casey County; daughters: Cathy Ann (Kenny) Dunn of Hustonville, Carol Sue Taylor of Junction City, and Donna Gail Goode of Moreland; twelve grandchildren: Kenny Goode, Jonathon Ashcraft, Joseph Taylor, Jamie (Chad) Baldock, Michael (Melody) Duncan, Ryan Goode, Tommy (Kim) Goode, Ronnie Jo Goode, Carrie Ann (Cody) Brown, Cassie (Levi) Humes, Eli Dunn, and Sara Dunn; thirteen great grandchildren: Alexia Baldock, Colton Baldock, Ansleigh Baldock, Jimmy Webb, Grayson Duncan, Arianna Ogle, Barrett Brown, Holden Brown, Robert Goode, Brayden Goode, Krista Goode, Ann Lee Goode, and Chloe Goode; brothers, Marion (Evelyn) Rousey of Casey County and Leslie Rousey of Hustonville; sisters, Louise Hill of Danville and Mary Frances (Ronald) Ferrell of Parksville; and half-sister, Jewel Goodpaster. Visitation is 11am-1pm, Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A Celebration of the Life of Barbara and her husband, Ronald who passed away on Nov. 26, 2020, will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday with Rev. David Smith officiating. Pallbearers for Barbara will be Kenny Dunn, Michael Duncan, Ryan Goode, Eli Dunn, Kenny Goode, and Jonathon Ashcraft. Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Humes, Cody Brown, Joseph Taylor, Leslie Rousey, and Scotty Rousey. Entombment will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
