Led by Arts Commission board member and Danville Christian Academy retired art teacher, Patti Wright, the children will enjoy some fun in the park making prints from vegetables and with their fingers. All materials are provided and are completely child and laundry friendly. At the conclusion of the activity the children will receive a copy of  “Growing Vegetable Soup” written and illustrated by Lois Ehlert. Each child will also receive a voucher to spend at farmers’ market to purchase products from local farmers and other vendors.

Class begins at 9 a.m. and is limited to the first 20 children. Very young children should be accompanied by an adult or older child. Health precautions are being followed so everyone can have a fun and safe experience outdoors in Constitution Park.

The program is free and open to children pre K through early elementary age.  These activities are made possible through a grant from the Good Foods Co-Op Foundation. For additional information contact Mimi Becker at arts@historicdanvilleky.com.
